First of all, the security of your Upside balance starts with you! Be sure to choose a long, complex password for your account and treat your account like cash.

On the Upside app, we have email verification for bank account cash outs to ensure that it's you cashing out your balance and not someone else. After you click the link in that email, your cash out will be processed. 

This process ensures that your funds cannot be compromised through our app. So as of June 16th, 2020, no Upside accounts are refunded if an unauthorized cash out is made by another person.
